The Danish film ‘Another Round’ became the protagonist of this year’s Oscar International Film Awards.
On the morning of the 26th (Korean time), the 93rd Academy Awards was held at Dolby Theater in Los Angeles, USA. It was conducted face-to-face with more than 170 people gathered.
Director Thomas Winterber said, “Something unimaginable has happened.”
He continued, “I am grateful to the families who have served me as spiritual support throughout the project. I am sincerely grateful to the scriptwriter as well. There are so many people to be grateful for,” he said, “Thank you for bravely investing in such a movie.
On this day, ‘Another Round’ became the protagonist of the trophy, surpassing compelling works such as ‘Better Days’, ‘The Man Who Sold His Skin’, and Quo Vadis, Aida?’.
Meanwhile, director Lee Isaac Chung’s ‘Minari’ was nominated for Best Supporting Actor and Best Actor at this year’s Academy Awards, as well as the Best Screenplay and Music Awards.
