Busan International Kids and Youth Film Festival (BIKY) will subdivide the viewing grade.

The film festival announced on the 4th that it will expand its viewing rating from the 5th grade of “Overall Spectators”, “Over 8”, “Over 12”, “Over 15” and “Over 17” to “Over 10” starting this year’s competition.

The age of viewing is subdivided in consideration of sensitive children. In particular, the addition of “aged 10 or older” is aimed at keeping up with the emotional development of children at the point between the lower and upper grades of elementary school.

The Busan International Children’s Youth Film Festival, which marks its 16th anniversary this year, will open on July 5 and run until July 12 at the Film Center, Hwamyeong CGV in Buk-gu, and BNK Busan Bank Art Cinema in Jung-gu.

It will be held simultaneously at Haeundae Film Center, Buk-gu, and Jung-gu. Indoor screening in Buk-gu will be held at CGV Hwamyeong. The outdoor screening will be held near Daecheon Stream just like last year.

Indoor screenings in Jung-gu will be held at BNK Busan Bank Art Cinema, and outdoor screenings will be held at Yurari Square, located around Yeongdo Bridge.
