Vincenjo’s scene stealer Kim Young-woong is making headlines for releasing behind-the-scenes dramas and full stories of his acting career.
Kim Young-woong, who was popular under the nickname “Golden Nutria” in tvN’s drama “Vincenjo,” which recently ended with a viewer rating of nearly 15 percent, expressed his thoughts on appearing in the drama in an interview with digital magazine Movie Week.
In the drama, he transformed himself from the boss of a gang led by Babel Group to Park Seok-do, a vibrator who moved into the Golden Plaza of the Vincenzo (Song Joong-ki) family, and played comic and action acting in three dimensions.
Due to the unexpected chemistry between Vincenzo and Park Seok-do, they even earned the nickname “Sendo Couple.”
In response, Kim Young-woong said, “The scenes where Vincenzo stopped by the Vivivaloon office and posed in front of Park Seok-do with a globe were 100% ad-lib.” “I played the ad-lib thanks to Song Joong-ki’s flexible performance, and I think God came out funny because he responded well.”
“Park Seok-do is the only one in the Geumga family who speaks informally to Vincenzo,” he said of the role of Park Seok-do, who is humiliated by Song Joong-ki, a 14-year-old child. “I don’t feel bad because we speak informally together. “I acted as if I were the second-in-command of the Golden Family,” he said.
When asked, “Do you realize your popularity these days?” he gave a frank and pleasant answer. Kim Young-woong said, “The residents of the apartment said, ‘I’m enjoying the drama’ at the seperate collection. But is Song Joong-ki really handsome? “Do you have good skin?” They only ask Song Joong-ki questions. I take it for granted. Everyone always talk about Song Joong-ki, but I recently received service from the president at a restaurant. It’s an honor to be recognized. “It’s the first time I’ve received so much attention in my life, so I’m at a loss,” he said.
Although he was known for his acting skills in Busan, he has suffered numerous twists and turns in his acting career for more than 30 years and has been in a slump for the past two years. At that time, I had no choice but to have a great affection for this work because the best work I’ve ever met was “Vinceenzo.”
Kim Young-woong said, “Before the first broadcast, about 200 staff members participated in the ‘Guessing the ratings’ competition, where they won first place.” It was expected to be 7.5 percent, but the actual audience rating was 7.65 percent. “I’m also a fan of writer Park Jae-beom, and director Kim Hee-won led the scene so well that I thought it would be a hit, but I still wrote down realistic figures.”
In addition, Kim Young-woong honestly confessed how he became an actor, episodes from his time in Daehak-ro theater, and his values and outlook on life as an actor. A full version of Kim Young-woong’s interview can be found on the YouTube channel “Movie Week.”
