“Morning Yard” cited trends and casting power as the power of the program that has remained the same even after 30 years.
On the afternoon of the 13th, a press conference was held to mark the 30th anniversary of KBS1’s “Morning Yard” and “My Hometown at 6 o’clock.”
“Morning Yard” and “My Hometown at 6 o’clock” are KBS1 long-lived programs that first aired on the same day on May 20, 1991, and have introduced viewers’ joy and sorrow lives for 30 years.
As for the secret of “Morning Yard”‘s 30-year longevity, team leader Kim Min-hee cited “the power of formatting to read trends.” Producer Kim said, “Since it has been a program for 30 years, there have been various corners, and “Live Talk” was the beginning of group talk, which is currently a representative trend in entertainment, and “Couple Exploration” is a corner where couples come out to talk frankly and receive expert solutions. The same goes for “I miss him” and “Thursday special lectures.”
Producer Kim also said, “Currently, ‘Morning Madang’ is one of the top ratings for Wednesday’s ‘Challenge! In the case of the Dream Stage section, numerous stars went through before the current trot audition. Lim Young-woong, Young-tak, Hong-ja, and Yoyomi went through the “Dream Stage,” and said, “I think reading the needs of viewers was a great strength of the morning yard.”
MC Kim Jae-won of “Morning Madang” also said, “I think “Morning Madang” has always been ahead of the trend and has had a good influence on other programs.”
Powerful casting power cannot be ignored. Writers including writer Nam Hee-ryeong of “Morning Yard” mentioned celebrities who went through programs such as Yoo San-seul (Yoo Jae-seok), Park Jin-young & Rain, Lim Young-woong and Kim Shin-young. “Richard Gere also expressed his intention to appear in ‘Morning Yard’ during his visit to Korea, and Paul Potts volunteered to appear,” he said, drawing attention.
To mark the 30th anniversary of the broadcast, ‘Morning Yard’ is ‘Hope is You,’ and ‘My Hometown at 6 o’clock’ is ‘Thank you’. Under the theme of ‘We support you,’ it will introduce a special broadcast for five days from the 17th that will convey emotions with laughter and tears to the small screen.
