The music video of group TWICE’s “I CAN’T STOP ME” has surpassed 300 million views on YouTube.
The music video of TWICE’s second full-length album “Eyes wide open” released on October 26, 2020 surpassed 300 million views on YouTube at 5:34 a.m. on the 16th.
10 of the girl band’s songs – “OOH-AHH,” “Cheer Up,” “TT,” “LIKEY,” “What is Love?,” “Heart Shaker,” “FANCY,” “FANCY,” “Feel Special”, “YES or YES”, “I can’t Stop Me” – recorded over 300 million views on YouTube.
“I CAN’T STOP ME” was written together by JYP’s representative producer Park Jin-young and hit song maker Shim Eun-ji, expressing in lyrics that even they find it difficult to control themselves due to conflicts between good and evil. It is a retro synthwave genre that combines European electronic sound and American 80s synth sound, featuring addictive melodies and powerful performances.
The second full-length album, which contains the song, broke its own record at No. 72 on Billboard 200, the main chart of Billboard in the U.S., and proved its strong global influence in the album category among the songs and albums representing K-pop in 2020 selected by the U.S. weekly TIME.
TWICE will release their new mini album “Taste of Love” on June 11 and make a comeback in about eight months.
