The group BTS won two gold medals at the iHeartRadio Music Awards 2021.
BTS won the digital single “Dynamite” at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles on the 27th (local time), and was not honored with the “Best Fan Army” category, which was given to the best fandom.
It is the second time that BTS has won the Best Music Video award at the awards ceremony after “Boy With Luv” (Feat. Halsey) in 2020, and “Best Fan Ami” has won the award for four consecutive years since 2018.
“I can’t believe I won ‘Best Music Video’ and ‘Best Fan Army’ awards through the video.
“We couldn’t have achieved it without our fans,” BTS said.
At the awards ceremony, Son Sung-deuk, the performance director of Big Hit Music, who made the choreography for “Dynamite,” also won the “Favorite Music Video Choreography” category. BTS also congratulated performance director Son Sung-deuk on their acceptance speech.
The iHeart Radio Music Awards, which began in 2014, is an award ceremony hosted by the U.S. online radio station iHeartRadio, and BTS is showing off its global power by standing shoulder to shoulder with prominent musicians. Last year, he was the only Asian singer to participate in the “iHeartRadio Music Festival 2020,” which invites representative artists from each genre every year.
Meanwhile, BTS has continued its popularity by setting new records with new song “Butter,” which was released simultaneously around the world on the 21st.
