Actress Ryu Hye-young has been selected as the representative actor of Korea.
Ryu Hye-young has been named in the “Korean Actors 200” selected by the Korea Film Promotion Commission for the past 10 years, considering whether she has appeared in Korean films, won film festivals, and contribution to independent films.
“Korean Actors 200” is a global promotional campaign designed to introduce 200 actors representing the present and future of Korean films to the global film industry and expand actors’ overseas expansion.
In a pictorial conducted as part of the campaign, Ryu Hye-young expressed her restrained feelings with indifferent and chic eyes.
In particular, her unrivaled brother, who penetrates black-and-white photographs, catches the eye.
On the other hand, in color photographs, she gives off her soft charm by smiling lightly with eyes that are contrary to black-and-white photographs, making viewers smile.
Ryu Hye-young showed her extraordinary presence with her solid acting skills by appearing in various films, including many independent films, “IntoGi,” “My Dictator,” and “The People of the Metropolitan City,” after her debut in the 2007 short film “I’m a High School Girl.” Chungmuro was expected to win the Busan Film Critics Association Award for Best New Actress and the Chunsa Film Festival for Best Performance.
Ryu Hye-young, who has been loved through the screen, has been receiving favorable reviews for her immersive performance leading the play by appearing in JTBC’s Wednesday-Thursday drama “Law School,” which is currently airing, following the dramas “Reply 1988” and “Eunju’s Room.” As a result, expectations are high for her performance as a representative actor in Korea after being selected as the “Korean Actors 200.”
Following the release of pictorials and videos online, the committee will publish its book “THE ACTOR IS PRESENT” to plan exhibitions in North America and Europe and continue to promote Korean actors around the world.
