The nation’s longest singer-songwriter audition “Yoo Jae-ha Music Contest” will mark the 32nd alumni.
CJ Cultural Foundation (Chairman Lee Jae-hyun), the official sponsor of the “Yoo Jae-ha Music Contest,” announced that it will accept the preliminary round of the 32nd Yoo Jae-ha Music Contest with CJ from June 16 to July 15.
Anyone who is 17 years of age or older as a singer-songwriter or team who can participate in entertainment activities in Korea is eligible to apply, and musicians with a history of releasing singles, EPs, and regular albums are also eligible.
The sponsorship CJ Cultural Foundation, Yoo Jae-ha Music Scholarship Association and Yoo Jae-ha Music Contest alumni association expanded their eligibility requirements last year to provide more singer-songwriter opportunities and expand the musical spectrum of the contest.
You can apply online through the website of the Yoo Jae-ha Music Scholarship Association, and you must submit three creative songs, including one unreleased song, and a video of each broken heart.
All musicians who entered the finals will be eligible for the “Yoo Jae-ha Alumni” and will have a chance to produce and commemorate the 32nd alumni album of the Yoo Jae-ha Music Contest, including 3 million won for the Grand Prize and 2.5 million won for the Gold Prize.
“We hope that this competition will allow us to meet singer-songwriters of various genres with ‘freshness’ and ‘challenge’ like the topic that his music has thrown into the Korean pop music industry,” a CJ Cultural Foundation official said.
