Director Bong Joon-ho, who won four awards, including the Palme d’Or at the Cannes Film Festival and Best Picture at the Academy Awards, for ‘Parasite’ mentioned the new work.
Director Bong Joon-ho had a photo shoot and interview with the magazine Arena Homme Plus and said, “The work I talked about between Cannes and Oscar is different from the new work I’m currently preparing.”
It is true that until now, director Bong Joon-ho is preparing one foreign film and one Korean film. However, as a foreign film, ‘CNN reported on the London incident in 2016’ is being discussed, but it is not the case.
The work after Bong Joon-ho’s ‘Parasite’ is an American film, and it is a film adaptation of an unpublished American novel. As previously reported briefly, it is true that ‘Animation of Deep Sea Marine Life’ will be the next Korean film. As a result, his ‘Seoul-based horror film’, known as his Korean film, was temporarily postponed.
His eighth feature film will be an American film, and his ninth feature film confirmed as an animation.
Director Bong Joon-ho’s long-winded interview, including the story of his new work, revealed in his first official interview with the domestic media after winning the Academy Award, can be found in the July issue of ‘Arena Homme Plus’.
