Producer Choi Jeong-in of “On the Verge of Insanity” heralded a differentiated office drama.
On the afternoon of the 23rd, MBC’s new Wednesday-Thursday drama “On the Verge of Insanity” (playwright Jeong Do-yoon/director Choi Jeong-in) was broadcast live online.
“On the Verge of Insanity” is a drama about the fierce survival of workers in their n-year years struggling to survive in a turbulent workplace.
Director Choi Jeong-in, who directed the film, introduced the work as “a drama about an office worker who tries to endure it somehow in a company that seems to be failing.”
Choi said, “As you all know, it’s a drama that’s fun to watch because so many great actors are together,” and added, “If the existing office work was about newcomers who came to work, I think the differentiation point of our drama is different from the existing office work.”
Choi added, “I think the charm is not just to tell salty stories, but to be sweet and salty with a cute episode that is sympathetic.”
As for the expected grades, “I can confidently emphasize that the actors acted so well and the writer wrote so well that the viewers will sympathize.” “I think the production team will be satisfied with the results.”
“On the Verge of Insanity” will provide empathy, emotion and laughter with realistic stories such as “retirement” and “transfer” that office workers would think about at least once. Moon So-ri, Jung Jae-young, Lee Sang-yeop and Kim Ga-eun will appear. The first episode will air at 9 p.m. on the 23rd.
