Son Ye-jin, comeback with JTBC ‘Thirty, Nine’…plays the role of a dermatologist in Gangnam

Actress Son Ye-jin is making a comeback to the small screen as a dermatologist.

On the 30th, Son Ye-jin’s agency MISteam Entertainment announced, “Son Ye-jin will make a comeback with the drama ‘Thirty, Nine’, which is scheduled to be organized by JTBC, as her next work.” This is JTBC’s first comeback in 3 years following ‘Something in the Rain’.

Son Ye-jin takes on the role of ‘Cha Mi-jo’, the director of Gangnam Dermatology Clinic, who grew up in a wealthy environment that no one would envy as a central figure who leads the story of three women. Actress Jeon Mi-do has been confirmed for the role of ‘Jeong Chan-yeong’, who is Cha Mi-jo’s best friend and the other of the three women.

Writer Yoo Young-ah, who has shown her presence in the drama ‘Boyfriend’ and the movies ‘Kim Ji-young, Born in 1982’ and ‘Miracle in Cell No. 7’, will be writing the script, and director Kim Sang-ho of ‘Run On’ will direct.

As Son Ye-jin has a strong Hallyu fandom after the broadcast of ‘Crash Landing on You’, attention at home and abroad is focusing on the comeback she chose after a year.

The drama ‘Thirty, Nine’ will start filming in August after the rest of the casting has been confirmed.
